I have had the privilege of photographing this family every year, except one, since 2012. That was the year Amelia was born. Late summer and early autumn were the times we got together and the weather was always dry and sunny. Not this time! We had a rainy photo shoot for only part of the time, but the air was warm and no spirits were dampened. As I’ve mentioned in recent posts, I feel honored to be asked again and again to take the family photos. This year they are a nice round number of four since Amelia now has a brother! Little Luke is not even one but he has discovered his legs can take him places – fast! Occasionally he would drop to the wet pavement to crawl but for the most part he pattered along standing upright. Lets take a peek at the photos.
A Rainy photo shoot
I cannot tell you how amazing the foliage has been this year! I’m sure the rest of New England was just as brilliant but I like to think that our little piece of Maine was exceptional! One thing is for certain – the backdrop for family photos doesn’t get any prettier, don’t you think? I believe the grey, damp day made everything look even more vibrant.
Oh my, not only is this a fabulous moment of father and son, but the colors! Not enough adjectives to describe them! It was a week ago when these photos were taken but I have to say that the landscape is still jaw dropping.
When I first saw this image I had to smile and nod my head because this is exactly how life is with young children!
I LOVE this yellow door!
