Custom Photography

Why is Custom Photography so Expensive?

  • You are not just paying your photographer for an hour of shoot time. I put in many many hours on every photo session. This includes preparation, drive time, shooting time, file handling, sifting and sorting images, custom editing and post processing of images, burning CD’s, post office, etc.
  • Professional equipment is expensive. Cameras, lenses, computers, software, hardware, workshops, props. Etc…. Unfortunately these are not one time purchases, as upgrades must be made or items replaced after heavy use.
  • Running a legitimate business is costly. There are office fees, internet fees, blog and website fees, taxes, etc.
  • Not all photographers are the same. Many have fancy gear but not all really understand photography or how to custom edit.  Bottom line is you get what you pay for!

Paying for custom photography for your family, your wedding, your children is never a bad investment. These are family heirlooms that hold their value, and become irreplaceable memories, treasures that appreciate with time.
