Twins on Lucia Beach, Maine

One of the best perks about being a photographer in Maine is having the opportunity to watch children play while at the same time creating lasting memorable keepsakes for their parents. For the 5th day in a row, we’ve had temperatures in the 90’s along the coast of Maine. But by 5pm at Lucia Beach, there was a soft breeze and much lower temps. The light was incredible and this pair of twins were the perfect combination for an energy packed photo shoot! They loved to run and romp in the water, keeping me on my toes as well, but to me this is the best way to have a photo session with children. Let them play, stop occasionally for a “formal” shot and then play some more!

Melissa and her husband bought this photo session from a silent auction I donated for Pen Bay Hospital’s annual Gala. The money is used to create a more “green” environment at the hospital, which I thought was a wonderful idea! Enjoy your preview! I am having so much fun editing these pictures!

This picture alone says it all! Such an expression of pure summer bliss!

I did get them to stop for a minute!

High School Senior Photo Session at Pemaquid

It’s that time of year again when all the High School Seniors need to have their portraits taken. I had so much fun with this young gal! We started out at the light house and ventured to a few places in the surrounding area. Lots of wardrobe changes, which I like as it mixes things up and creates variety, in addition to all the beautiful locations and her willingness to try different things out – oh my, a photographers dream! What a smart, ambitious young lady, who I know will create a bright future for herself. She has dreams, and that’s all it takes! I hope you enjoy your preview!!

Little Beach – Maine

This has truly been the summer of summers here in New England – specifically along the coast of Maine. Day after day after day, the sun has been a constant companion. No complaints here! What has been equally abundant for me are the incredibly beautiful families I have been so blessed with to photograph. It is such an honor to be given the privilege of creating lasting images for each of my families to treasure for many years to come.

A few days ago I took a little trek not far from my home to meet this young family for a photo session at one of the sweetest places around. Oh my, did we have fun! The love and wonderful energy between them was amazing, which in turn made my job effortless. I truly hope you enjoy your preview! I am having a blast editing and can’t wait for you to see the rest!

Sisters and Cousins at Popham Beach

I can’t think of a better way to spend early evening than on a gorgeous beach with a fun group of young people. I had so much fun with this energetic bunch, and they were totally up for anything! To be young like this again! I hope you enjoy this first batch of pictures. The light was so amazing, and to think just less than a half hour after I left, the sky turned black and storms raced through.

As I mentioned, the light was simply amazing! Magical!

Georgetown, Maine Family Portrait Session

One of the perks of being a photographer is having the privilege of meeting some of the nicest people in the most beautiful locations. Driving down the coast on a road I have never been on where eventually I end up in the cutest little cluster of homes along the shoreline, is such a treasure. The lighting, people, location – all perfection. Thank you Mary and Steve for entrusting me with capturing some of the memories of your vacation in Maine. It is always an honor to be given such opportunities. Need I say more!

Sometimes the moment between “Okay, look at the camera” is the best time to click the shutter button!

Popham Beach Photo Session (part 2)

Whew! I’m finished editing the rest of the family session at Popham Beach! There were a lot of images and I just didn’t have the heart to delete! But it was worth it in the end. Yes, I did delete quite a few, but I started out with a few hundred. Trigger happy I suppose!! Once again, this family knows how to have fun and knows how to express their love for each other. Enjoy the rest of the preview!!

Now this family LOVED jumping, and they do it so well, don’t you think!!
