Derilyn Pregnancy Photos – Maine Children’s Photographer

In just two days baby number four will arrive!!!  Such a bittersweet and exciting time.  Two boys.  Two girls.  A perfect time to say enough.  Before you know it, Shawn and Derilyn, you’ll have grand children!  Okay, so maybe not that soon, but the way time flies it will seem that way.

After a lesson in making cinnamon rolls from scratch, I took out my camera so I could get a few pictures to commemorate this new little angel before she is born.  And this is what she looks like before birth!  Can’t wait to meet her on Friday!  Mr Maddox will have to share his mommy’s lap, but with the help of his big brother and sister, I’m sure he’ll do just fine.

Heather’s Maternity Session

I’ve known Heather for over 10 years.  She was a massage client of mine and one of our main topics of discussion was her longing to have a child.  She and her husband tried everything imaginable, but their nest remained empty.

Until 16 years later.

It was in the fall of last year we saw each other at a local event in town.  She came up to me and announced she was pregnant!  Her joy was painted all over her face.  She literally glowed.  I can only imagine the peace and contentment she must have felt when her doctor told them that they would be having a baby.

To have their dream finally about to come true.  I knew the moment she told me her news that I wanted to photograph her during the final month of her pregnancy.  She would be even more radiant as she savors and anticipates the arrival of her daughter.  Her nest would soon be full.

Heather, I have always thought pregnant women are beautiful, but you, my dear, are stunning!

We had less than an hour before sunset, so we took a drive to Damariscotta Lake.  Beautiful lighting!!
