I cannot say enough wonderful things about my job as a family photographer other than I love it more and more with every new photo session I do!  During a short period of time I step inside what feels like a whole new world for me.  I am given little glimpses of my clients lives and all I have to do is click a button on my camera, and presto! their memories will be preserved forever.  Over the years I have discovered that Boothbay Harbor, Maine is a perfect place for family photos.

During this session there was a lot of skipping stones on the beach during a beautiful time of day when the light is soft and golden.  I’ve learned that people really don’t want to spend a lot of time staring pretty at the camera, especially children.  So I encourage play time, with scattered “poses” here and there.Boothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerI love this sweet, pensive moment, which was quite fleeting during our time together, but worth noting and treasuring nonetheless.Boothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerBoothbay Harbor Family PhotographerThank you SO much for finding me and giving me the opportunity to catch these little jewels of time while you were here in Maine!  I hope you enjoyed your preview.  Hold tight, I have many more to edit!

Is there anyone else reading this who would love some family photos as well?  No need to put it off any longer.  You can contact me here and I would be more than happy to schedule your very own family session!

Here is a session I took last year at Pemquid Point Lighthouse.

Of course, playing in fields is another option for lovely photos.  Check out this session at the Damariscotta River Association.
