"Dance is the poetic baring of the soul through motion." Scott Nilsson
Every woman should go to the beach and dance and allow this beautiful experience to be witnessed and held still in time forever. It is my hopes that Alison will reflect on this moment of her life whenever she views these photos of her. Even though she is currently going through the healing process of Lyme's Disease, I hope she remembers more.
I don't see a woman with Lyme's Disease. I see a powerful, beautiful soul who encompasses mother, sister, wife, friend, human and all the expressions and capabilities of each role. Many voices sing forth, encouraging movement, and where there is movement, life transforms.
"Dancing, singing, storytelling and silence are the four universal healing salves." Gabrielle Roth
"If you just set people in motion they'll heal themselves." Gabrielle Roth
"Imagination is powerful. Imagination is healing. All you need is the courage to visualize what should be, and then give yourself to its creation. The result may not be what you expected, but it will be right." Gabrielle Roth
"Our soul, our true self, is the most mysterious essential, and magical dimension of our being." Gabrielle Roth
"What we need to do is let go of many of our attachments that we carry whether they be physical, emotional or mental so that we can celebrate our existence here." Gabrielle Roth
"Each of us is a moving center, a space of divine mystery." Gabrielle Roth
These final two photographs are my favorite. I love them all but these two really spoke to me. I hope you enjoyed this lovely journey with a very lovely woman. Thank you, Alison, for the honor of truly seeing you ~
"To sweat is to pray, to make an offering of your innermost self. Sweat is holy water, prayer beads, pearls of liquid that release your past. Sweat is an ancient and universal form of self healing, whether done in the gym, the sauna, or the sweat lodge. I do it on the dance floor. The more you dance, the more you sweat. The more you sweat, the more you pray. The more you pray, the closer you come to ecstasy." Gabrielle Roth
