I have never been to Vinalhaven before so when I got an inquiry about a family session, giving me the choice of either them coming to me or I go to them, I jumped at the opportunity to get on a ferry!  The one plus hour trip was gorgeous.  As the boat approached the harbor, everything I saw made it obvious that this is a fishing community. While dad was out on his boat doing what Maine fishermen do, mom was at home with their three little ones doing what all moms do - keeping up with the seemingly constant growth of the children.  I felt lucky to get to tag along with my camera, keeping pace with their ever changing play.  But that is what I love about children - always exploring and expressing their world - and me, well I grab hold of tiny specs of who they are so at the end of a long day mom and dad can remember and say yeah, all of this is so worth it!Thank you so much for welcoming me to your life on the island!  I had such a great time and can't wait to show you the rest of the photos!
