Winter through my Window in Maine

I love how snow storms help to keep me grounded, in my house with no escape.  And so it goes, all the little nagging things left undone suddenly get done.  I dart from one project to another, not necessarily finishing one before beginning the next.  I like to go back and forth, dividing my time between what's necessary and what's fun.  Makes time go faster, which I don't really want, but it also keeps me motivated.  And the good news is at the end of the day everything is complete!  I think this is full moon energy combined with the snow storm, because I don't always operate so efficiently.I like the blur in these images.  Photographing through the window is a nice change.  I like the way nature paints itself upon my digital canvas; how little tidbits of a larger landscape takes center stage, if only for a fragment of time.

The kittens are quite entertained by the falling snow and occasional pelting of sleet against the windows.

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home – Edith Sitwell
