Couples Photo Session | University of Puget Sound

I haven’t done a couples photo session in quite some time, but I have to say that if all were like this one I would do them all the time!  Gene and Lili were so fun to work with and their love for each other was strong and beautiful.  We chose to have the session at the lovely University of Puget Sound.  This campus is tastefully landscaped, plus the architecture of each brick building is stunning.  Even though school was still in session, there were plenty of locations that provided quiet surroundings.

Most people, including myself, don’t really like to have their photos taken.  Because I know what it’s like to have a camera pointing in my direction, I try very hard to make the whole session casual and fun.  I do very little with posing but when a shot needs to have a little structure, I do it subtly.  We talk a lot, we laugh, we move from place to place and before you know it, the session is over!

Of course, having clients like Gene and Lili makes my job feel more like play rather than work!  But isn’t work supposed to be fun!  I think so.

Now, lets get to the good part – the lovely couple!

This next photo is one of my favorites.  I love the location, the lighting, the love.

There are so many fabulous places in Tacoma to do photo sessions and UPS is one of them!  What is your favorite location?  I’d love to explore new areas and a fun way to do that is during a photo shoot!  Summer is here, kids are out of school so there’s no better time than now to document your here and now!  Feel free to give me a call or fill out the contact form so we can start planning!  For anyone reading this with young families, here is a post that may get you excited about a session of your own!
