Magical Wedding | Livingston, Montana
Are you planning a wedding? Do you want your location to be stunning and full of nature? Well, have I got an idea for you! I just photographed a magical wedding in Livingston, Montana last weekend and I could not stop saying “wow!” My weekend was full of awestruck moments. The landscape was extraordinary but the people who were there to celebrate Ericka and Paul’s union were truly the icing on the cake!
I had never met any of the guests before, but within hours I felt like I was a part of the family. There was so much love everywhere that despite the cold winds that blew, a constant warmth filled us all. The backdrop for this magical wedding event were the rolling green hills of Livingston, Montana. And just below where the ceremony took place was the raging Yellowstone River.
The Magpies and Meadowlarks were filling the air with song. The hills were dotted with Black Angus cattle and quite often you could see deer grazing in the spring grass. One day we even saw a moose crossing the road as we traveled the near empty highways.
The setup for the ceremony was unlike anything I have ever seen before. The guests were seated on tie-dyed covered hay bales, which formed a circle around the alter. Gorgeous handmade dream catchers danced in the wind while creating an atmosphere of love and enchantment. Many people wore tie-dyed clothing, including the groom, and the bride was definitely a being of the forest!
Without further ado, lets get to the best part – the photographs!!
A beautiful part of the wedding ceremony happened when the groom played guitar and sang to his bride.
What is a Montana wedding without cowgirl boots!
Ericka and Paul gathered all of the wedding flowers and took them down to the river. They took each one, blessed them and then tossed them into the water.
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into a very magical wedding. Thank you Ericka and Paul for including me in your most special day! It was truly an honor to witness your love for each other.
